The nose has a wonderful array of aromas: peach, blood orange, elderflower, pomegranate, and a savoury note of pecorino cheese. The palate is smooth and supple with notes of cinnamon, blood orange and a hint of sea spray. Bright acidity holds all the flavours together giving vibrancy and length. Ideal for current drinking and over 1-4 years from the vintage.
Delicious and dry is how we love our Rosé. In 2020 all fruit was sourced from the Wairarapa with portions of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Merlot as the base of the wine, with smaller parcels of Syrah and Pinot Gris to bring complexity.
Red varietal destemmed and pressed, juice settled overnight and then racked to barrel and tank. Fermented at ambient temperature with natural yeasts.
Food Pairing: This is a wonderful Summer wine and, due to its more savoury style, a great pairing with food.
