2019 is synonymous with great Rosés at Roquefort! Le Bonvivant is a different Cuvée from the timeless corail.
This newcomer is an AOP Côtes de provence from the same terrior as the roquefort range, produced from organic agricuture.
It's production equals 208 HL or about 28000 bottles.
It is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Rolle and Cinsault.
In January , when they were making the blend of corail Rosé, they had seperated two tanks (208 HL) with a higher proportion of syrah and vermentino. The goal thanks to the increase of their production, to bring even more precision to the corail, Rosé Emblematic of the Domaine.
At the beginning of the year, they imagined that they would sell this surplus in bulk, usefull for the bank account as the price for an organic Côtes de provence Rosé was then four euro the liter.
Since then, that market has disappeared and it will probably be a long time before it comes back. As a result, they decided to put this Rosé in bottle thus creating a second range of Rosé at a competitive price.
I believe that the bonvivant Rosé is an excellent complement to the Roquefort range, especially under the current circumstances, and future ones.
