"This Northland rosé is a blend of syrah, merlot and cabernet franc.  Bright, light pink, it is a freshly scented, medium-bodied wine, with peach, apricot, strawberry and spice flavours, showing very good delicacy, vibrancy and harmony" Winestate Magazine

The Landing Rose is beautiful rose quartz in colour.  Bone-dry and delicious. With a swirl of the glass you’ll enjoy fresh cut watermelon and crunchy white peach aromatics with just a hint of cherry. The watermelon and white peach dry-flavour continues on the palate with the added complexity of river pebbles, pure spring water and just a hint of mandarin.

Hand-sorted and whole-bunch pressed, free run juice was allowed to naturally settle before a long cool fermentation. After a short time on yeast lees in tank, the wine was racked, filtered and bottled.

Select blocks of Syrah and Merlot were targeted to produce this wine for their ability to clearly express the unique terroir of The Landing. Careful viticulture practices were followed to produce fruit with ripe yet fresh flavours with great balance. Hand-picked in March following a perfect summer.

The Boathouse Rosé is firm favourite at The Landing, we always keep two bottles in the chiller because one always disappears far too quickly. The delicate dash of rose petal red comes from the sunsoaked red fruit across the vineyard. Completely dry with delicious flavours of rose water, lychees, white stone fruit and just a dash of strawberries and cream.

The Landing Vineyard sits above The Boathouse on the Purerua Peninsula has been farmed for over a century, the vines have been selectively planted on the dry north facing slopes that naturally moderate vigour ensuring high quality, well balanced wines.

At The Landing they take the growing, hand picking and winemaking of their Rosé seriously, so much so they make two separate styles. The Landing Rosé is their premier expression of their site, a fine wine made for serious enjoyment.
