1 x The Landing Boathouse Bay of Islands Rosé 2020

AWARDED 4.5 STARS: Winestate Magazine

"This Northland rosé is a blend of syrah, merlot and cabernet franc.  Bright, light pink, it is a freshly scented, medium-bodied wine, with peach, apricot, strawberry and spice flavours, showing very good delicacy, vibrancy and harmony" Winestate Magazine

The Boathouse Rosé is firm favourite at The Landing, we always keep two bottles in the chiller because one always disappears far too quickly. The delicate dash of rose petal red comes from the sunsoaked red fruit across the vineyard. Completely dry with delicious flavours of rose water, lychees, white stone fruit and just a dash of strawberries and cream.

The Landing Vineyard sits above The Boathouse on the Purerua Peninsula has been farmed for over a century, the vines have been selectively planted on the dry north facing slopes that naturally moderate vigour ensuring high quality, well balanced wines.

1 x The Landing Boathouse Bay of Islands Pinot Gris 2020

Harvested from a mix of clone 457 and Barrie vines grown in the greywacke clay soils of the vineyard, The Boathouse Pinot Gris has quickly become a favourite since the first vintage in 2018. The final blend of tank-aged and barrel-aged batches deliver a richly textured and versatile
food friendly wine ready to be enjoyed immediately.

1 x The Landing Bay of Islands Chardonnay 2019

AWARDED 95/100 POINTS & 5 STARS: Bob Campbell Master of Wine, Real Review

AWARDED 5 STARS: Winestate Magazine

"Rich, weighty chardonnay with grapefruit, citrus, white peach, toasted nut, root ginger, hazelnut, oyster-shell and spicy oak flavours. A quite intense and certainly very complex wine that is accessible now but will certainly benefit from at least moderate cellaring" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review

"This classy wine was estate-grown in Northland, hand-picked and fermented and matured for 11 months in French oak barriques.  Bright, light lemon/green, it is refined and full-bodied, with deep, vibrant peach and grapefruit flavours, mealy and toasty notes adding complexity, and a lingering finish.  A very age-worthy wine, it should be at its best 2023+" Winestate Magazine

Attractive citrus and stone fruit aromatics sit perfectly with a hint of nuttyspice. On the palate the wine has a full profile with more white stone fruit and spice. A racy stony minerality creates a lovely long finish with drying tannins that just beg for your glass to be filled again.

The 2019 Vintage has opened the window to just how great Northland Chardonnay from the site can be.

1 x The Landing Boathouse Bay of Islands Chardonnay 2019

Awarded 93/100 Points & 4 Stars: Bob Campbell Master of Wine, Real Review

Awarded 4.5 Stars: Winestate Magazine

"Elegant, youthful chardonnay with grapefruit, white peach, toast, root ginger, oyster-shell, mineral and spicy oak flavours. An appealing wine with a gentle texture and lengthy finish. Offers value at this price" Bob Campbell Master of Wine, Real Review

"Well worth cellaring, this vigorous wine was estate-grown, hand-picked and fermented and matured for 11 months in French oak barriques.  Bright, light lemon/green, with a fragrant, slightly biscuity bouquet, it is mouthfilling, with ripe stonefruit flavours, strong and vibrant, and good complexity" Winestate Magazine

The Boathouse Chardonnay like its namesake is a real crowd pleaser. Intriguing aromas of lemon citrus, toasted brioche and hints of butterscotch matched with light mineral freshness makes for a beautifully balanced Chardonnay. The lovely pithy texture in this wine will make it perfect for classic parings of crayfish, fresh grilled snapper and shellfish. You’ll find those served at The Boathouse most days too.

1 x The Landing Bay of Islands Syrah 2019

Syrah, along with Chardonnay, was the first variety planted in the winemakers vineyard in 2007. Well suited to the Bay of Islands climate, with long sunshine hours and a forgiving maritime summer breeze, Syrah thrives in our clay-based soils. Three different clones (MS, 470 and 524) are estate grown and handpicked, allowing to ensure only the best fruit makes it into the fermenters, before spending 18 months in French oak.

1 x The Landing Boathouse Bay of Islands Vino Rosso 2019

AWARDED 4.5 STARS: Winestate Magazine

"This skilfully crafted, estate-grown Northland red was blended principally from sangiovese and montepulciano, with smaller amounts of cabernet franc and merlot.  Barrique-aged for a year, it is full-coloured, mouthfilling, fresh and smooth, with strong, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, oak complexity, buried tannins and a fragrant bouquet. Great drinkability" Winestate Magazine

The Boathouse Vino Rosso is a real charmer, a versatile food friendly red blend. Italian varieties Sangiovese and Montepulciano deliver a mouth-watering juicy fruit profile that harmonises with the structure of the French Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot. Juicy dark red fruit of sweet cherry, plum and blackberries are balanced by a toasted oak backdrop and long, dry fine tannins.

Food Pairing: A perfect partner for lighter dishes as well as game and pasta.
