The 2019 Classic Rosé has lovely bright pink colour with lifted aromas of raspberry, watermelon, white peach and rose petal florals. Layers of ripe berry fruit flavours are complemented by a full, rich palate. Enjoy slightly chilled, it’s delicious.
The 2019 Marlborough growing season had a slow start with below average temperatures and higher rainfall resulting in cooler ground temperatures. Strong , even growth followed in the lead up to flowering and adverse weather events saw a mixed fruit set impacting yields. Our summer was New Zealand’s warmest on record with extended hot and dry weather resulting in advanced ripening and an earlier than average start to harvest.
This wine is born out of a lifetime of hard graft and is inspired by the purity of the Spring that runs through the Rapaura vineyard. The winenemakers here craft exceptional wines that reflect the remarkable landscapes, pure waterways and passionate people.
