This is a dry, medium bodied wine with flavours of gooseberry, lime and stonefruit. White peach, lime leaf and melon on the nose finishing with a note of crushed herbs. Balanced, crisp and smooth.

Mostly grown on classic Marlborough soils of silty loam that are free draining which gives vibrant healthy fruit. Some of the vines are on clay and limestone which adds texture and minerality.

The vineyards are from across Marlborough which contributes complexity to the blend. 84% of the vines are located south of the Wither Hills, where berries are smaller with more intensity and purity of flavour.

The grapes were machine-harvested during the coolest parts of the day and during the night to keep the grapes as cold as possible for more purity of flavour. In the winery the fruit was de-stemmed and gently pressed to avoid picking up harsh flavours from the skins. The juice was cold-settled and the clear juice was then cool-fermented in stainless steel to retain the pure and powerful natural flavours of the grapes. This is a classic fruit focussed Marlborough sauvignon blanc. The careful handling and low yields mean this Sauvignon Blanc will remain fresh in the bottle for five years.
