Description
Marion-Bosser is seriously sublime champagne! These indulgent wines are dripping in excellence with a multitude of accolades and rave reviews.
The Bossers are a mother and daughter operation and the grandmother also helps out at harvest time. They only make approx 40,000 bottles of champagne per year so they are really boutique. All their vines are Premier Cru, and are based in Hautvillers, the same village as Dom Perignon.
Collection includes:
1 x Champagne Marion-Bosser Premier Cru Brut Rosé NV (France)
Awarded Double-Gold Medal: New Zealand International Wine Show 2020
Awarded 95/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Awarded 18/20 Points & 4 Stars: Raymond Chan, Nov 2018
"Lifted aromas of light red fruits and peach, toasty autolysis and alluring scents of complexity and charm. Full-bodied, rich and dry with intense flavours of red fruits, peach and citrus peel. Lush mousse, plenty of acidity and long finish. Drink now and through 2024" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
"Moderately deep salmon-pink colour with light eye-of-the-partridge hues on the edge, the bubbles very fine and very persistent. The nose is elegantly concentrated and packed with intense aromas of savoury strawberry fruit and yellow stonefruits melded harmoniously with complexing bready-yeasty autolysis and subtle notes of nutty aldehyde detail. This retains freshness and red floral notes emerge in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is well-proportioned with sweet and luscious flavours of yellow stonefruits entwined with red berry fruit along with red floral elements. The autolysis is subtle and lies in the background. The mouthfeel is lively and mouthwatering, the tannins quite integrated. The wine has a creamy mouthfeel, and flows along a fine-textured line with bright acidity lending line and energy, carrying to a lingering, refreshing finish. This is a softly sweet and lush dry Rosé Champagne with stonefruit, red berry and floral flavours with subtle autolysis on a creamy palate. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2-3 years." Raymond Chan, Nov 2018
Red fruit aromas on the nose are followed by a fleshy palate and a nutty finish. This atypical, delicately salmon-colored Rosé comes from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

"A stunning Champagne made from 100% chardonnay; elegantly lifted aromas of citrus, apple, fresh baguette, white floral and yeast lead to a concentrated and focused palate that is finely textured and linear. It is precise and exquisite, and offers delicate fruit intensity together with mushroom complexity, brilliantly framed by crisp acidity. Wonderfully styled and composed" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2017
"Bright, light golden-yellow colour with slight lemon hues, paler edged. The bubble is fine and persistent. The nose is rich with clarity and finesse. The fruit is melded with a soft, positive layering of bready and yeasty autolysis. The nose unfolds white floral and mineral elements with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegant with softly concentrated with flavours of white stone-fruits and white florals, entwined with subtle bready and yeasty autolytic details. The mouthfeel is fine-featured with balanced, refreshing acidity and refined phenolic textrures providing a smooth flow. The mousse is creamy, adding to the finesse and the wine carries to an elegant, lingering finnish of white stonefruits, bready notes and minerals. This is an elegantly concentrated, fine, creamy textured Blanc de Blancs Champagne with white stonefruit and floral flavours and subtle bready autolysis. 100% Chardonnay fermented to 12.5% alc., with 5 g/L dosage" Raymon Chan, Apr 2017
With its low dosage, Extra-Brut is the most demanding of champagnes, requiring exceptional base wines. Straw-gold in color, its lemony nose, apple and minerality opens up to a firm and untamed palate. The wine is deep with an elegant mousse, a true Chardonnay with bold flavor. Champagne is a “must” of finesse and elegance.
