Description

  • Fruit-driven
  • Cherry
  • Soft spice
  • Silky tannins

A clear red purple colour with dark purple reflections in the glass. Strong nosed, this Syrah shows aromas of red fruits (cherries, blackcurrant) and spices with delicacy. The attack is concentrated and fruity. On the palate, this wine is powerful with a beautiful structure and silky tannins. The greedier finish is full of red fruits with a very nice length.

Coming from Southern France, this wine is a blend of Syrah from the Rhone Valley and Languedoc. This large Mediterranean area offers an incredible diversity of terriors, soils and landscapes, and this Syrah is a perfect illustration of this complexity. From the soils of clay and limestone, these areas are very sunny and ideal with cool nights. This is a source of complexity in the synthesis of aromas and the balance of the wine. The average age of the vines is 15 to 20 years.

The Syrah grapes were picked at night in order to keep all their aromatic qualities. Then, the fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks with daily pump overs.

Best enjoyed within 2 years of vintage.

Food Pairing: A perfect palate for assorted cooked and grilled meats. We recommend beef stew with sweet wine.
