Description

  • Dry style
  • Crunchy apple
  • White florals
  • Creamy texture

"Brilliantly fresh and fragrant, showing crunchy apple, lemon peel, subtle yeast and white floral aromas on the nose. It's finely focused on the palate, offering terrific fruit purity together with savoury nuances, finishing refreshing and delectably appealing" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"Spanish cava is made the same way as champagne, only it is typically aged for less time in the bottle on yeast lees, which means it can be labelled and sold more swiftly, generating both cashflow for the wine producer and a great value bubbly for the consumer. This is a lovely bone dry example, imported to New Zealand by Mucho Gusto in Auckland. It’s a stunner for the money with fresh bakery aromas, a medium body and finish. Excellent buying" Joelle Thomson

Arts de Luna Brut Nature has a vibrant foam and fine bubbles. It has a subtle aroma of fresh cut citrus and melon and a little toastiness from the yeast lees. Elegantly flavoured, with a creamy texture and a delicate, dry citrus finish.

Bodegas Murviedro were established in 1927 and are one of the most emblematic brands of wine in the Valencian Community. The focus is on commitment to native grape varieties which are the best ambassadors for the region, and on strengthening the old vine vineyards, creating wines linked to the land with unique characters that show a differentiating profile.

Arts de Luna Brut Nature is classified Denominación de Origen Protegida Cava (Requena). It is made exclusively from 85% Macabeo and 15% Chardonnay grown on vines in the area ‘Medio Día’, where the sparse land with chalky-clay soils is exposed to the continental climate with Mediterranean influences with many hours of sunlight, producing low yields per plant of high quality grapes. Large day and night temperature variations ensure both ripeness and the retention of freshness. Following a cold maceration of the grapes in pneumatic presses, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature of 14ºC. In January a process called ‘tiraje’ takes place where the new wine is bottled and the second fermentation occurs in the bottle. The Cava is stored in ‘rima’, special containers for holding the bottles in position, for 11 months.

Food Pairing: Ideal as an aperitif and to accompany seafood and vegetable dishes.  Also because of it’s dryness it is an excellent wine to use for sparkling cocktails.
