The palate is equally satisfying with excellent weight and fruit intensity combined with rounded mouthfeel and velvety texture, finishing long and delicious. Garnet red in colour with purple hues. Intense Pinot Noir with a beautiful bouquet of bright spiced cherry and roasted coffee bean notes. Elegant in style with flavours of rich plum, ripe black cherry and wild thyme. Full bodied and well-structured with silky tannins to create a full round weighty palate. Excellent concentration and length with savoury oak and a lingering, silky finish. Seasoned with a mixture of new and older French oak.
Fruit was sourced from a number of specifically chosen naturally low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of the Wairau Plain in Marlborough.
Food Pairing: Drinking beautifully now, this wine can be enjoyed young, or with careful cellaring will mature into a deeper more complex wine. Perfect to enjoy alongside pork tenderloin with Honey Garlic Sauce.
