A dark and sweetly fruited wine, the palate of this Merlot Cabernet is brimming with leather, spice and a touch of blackcurrant and mint.

Specially selected from the estate-owned vineyards throughout the Hawke’s Bay region, winemakers combine soft Merlot with robust Cabernet Sauvignon resulting in a full flavoured dry red with easy drinking appeal.

Fermented on skins with careful cap management to avoid over extraction. A period in tank post ferment to aid integration of tannins.

Food Pairing: An ideal partner for an antipasto platter featuring a range of salami and smoked meats, or any meaty casserole, like lamb shanks.
