"Delightfully fruited and fragrant, the bouquet shows poached pear, ripe peach and floral characters with a touch of spicy complexity. The palate delivers bright fruit intensity and juicy mouthfeel, elegantly framed by refreshing acidity. Up front and very tasty" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2019

Classic Pinot Gris aromatics of pear, quince, and red apples supported by floral notes and a sprinkling of spice. The stone fruit carries through to the palate which has creamy texture balanced with gentle acidity, and a spicy lingering finish.

The 2017/2018 growing season was characterised by a hot, dry summer, with healthy looking canopies and slightly lower than average bunch counts. This was followed by an extremely wet February, and then more sun in March. Flavours developed well during the warm months and so harvest started early.

The fruit was harvested in the cool of the evening and then gently pressed at low pressure. The resulting juice was cooled, racked clear and fermented with Alsatian isolated yeast strains. The wine was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. This allowed for a slow, cool ferment to retain delicate aromatics and pure fruit expression. The wine was left on fine lees for 4 months after ferment to add midpalate weight to the wine.

Food Pairing: A pleasure on its own, or enjoy with roast chicken & pork dishes, or risottos.
