"Gorgeous aromas of dark cherry, spiced plum, vanilla, cocoa, and hazelnut on the nose with nuances of dark mushroom, dried herb, and fragrant spice. The palate is concentrated and plush, delivering loads of attractive fruit flavors, wonderfully complemented by elegant savory notes and silky texture. The wine offers beautiful fruit weight and velvety mouthfeel, finishing superbly long and engaging" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Tankersley Estate Vineyard is nestled between the rocky outcrops of the Pisa mountain range and the shores of Lake Dunstan in Central Otago, New Zealand. The soils are some of the oldest in New Zealand, and they give this Pinot Noir its great density.

The Vineyard was established at the turn of this century and exclusively planted with Pinot Noir, to capture what Central Otago has become world-famous for.

2014 was another great Central Otago vintage with a warm summer and long dry autumn. This has given us a wine of great vibrancy and intensity.

Gentle handling has ensured finesse. 30% whole bunches were included in the fermentation. Maturation was for 1 year in French Oak. The wine shows the typical Central Otago hallmarks of red and dark fruit, intertwined with savory complexities.

Food Pairing: Perfect with seared venison medallions or scotch fillet.

Absolutely superb: dark crimson in colour with complex flavours scintillating over the palate. Acidity on the tongue, dry and just as I like my Pinot Noir!

Love this Pinot, lots of fruit, and very easy drinking with or without food.
