Aromatic notes of melon, citrus and a mineral twist. The palate is full bodied with a crisp acid structure and a long rich finish. Enjoy chilled.
The grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to tank. After settling the juice was fermented with an aromatic yeast to enhance varietal character. Once fermentation was underway the juice was transferred to tinaja and barrels for fermentation and maturation.
Toño (Ton Yo) is the familiar or nickname of Antonio in the Spanish language. Toño wines are a modern take on Spanish winemaking heritage, grown in the sunny Hawke’s Bay. Wines that are fun, delicious and reflect the Hawke’s Bay lifestyle.
