An alluring bouquet of nectarine, white peach and a touch of vanilla bean. The creamy palate delivers apricots and ripe stonefruit, with a touch of hazelnut and a smooth balanced acidity. Medium bodied, it has a pleasant silkiness to the mouth feel and a long steely finish. Whalebone Chardonnay will continue to develop in bottle for a further 2-4 years from harvest.
Grapes for this wine are from select vineyards in the Marlborough Valley.
Food Pairing: It is delicious on its own, or a wonderfully paired with mussel chowder, whole baked fish or creamy chicken casserole.

The best time to drink this wine is 7 o'clock in the morning with a feed of mutton birds and tripe and onions.
