Description

  • French oak
  • Ripe cherry
  • Dark plum & rhubarb
  • Youthful tannins

"Pure, ripe, fresh, fruity and floral with pinosity oosing from the glass. Aromas of red berries and fresh plum, roses and raspberry then cherry and wood spices, On the palate - fleshy, fruity, bright, youthful and varietal with flavours that reflect the nose, firm youthful tannins and bright acid-line add texture, grip and palate appeal. A lovely wine with a very good concentration of fruit flavours, oak and finish" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

A dark ruby hued wine that offers a lovely varietal lift of ripe cherry, with floral and cinnamon aromas. Long lingering flavours of dark plum, rhubarb and red liquorice are supported by soft tannins and a nice, full mouthfeel. Drink now, or within four years.

Hand picked 100% destemmed. Cold Soaked for 4-5 days until natural fermentation. Hand plunged 2-3 times a day. After fermentation, the wine was left on skins for extended maceration of 10 days, until the tannin development seemed optimal.
