"Elegant and sweetly fragrant, the bouquet shows raspberry, dark cherry, spice and toasted almond characters with a touch of savoury note. The palate is juicy and smooth, displaying delightful fruit flavours and intensity, leading to a lingering smooth finish. Well balanced and harmonious" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Lifted aromas of red plum, cocoa and liquorice. Palate is elegant and lingering with Summer berries, ripe plum, savoury black pepper and notes of toasty oak with delicate supple tannins.
Made up of classic Pinot Noir clones 667, 777, 115 and 5 sourced from two very special vineyards.
The grapes were all hand harvested then 90% destemmed (10% left as whole bunch) before being cold soaked for 7 days to ensuremaximum flavour and colour extraction. Fermentation was in small open top vessels, hand plunged three times a day. Post fermentmacerationwas for 7 days and free run wine was then transferred to French barrels (30% new) for ageing before a 100% malolactic fermentation in the Spring.

Great buy. Only problem is the supply is dwindling too fast!!

Good value for money and sold at twice the price elsewhere. Did start turning a bit once opened over next couple of nights so best to drink it all once opened!

If you're after a smooth Pinot Noir, I wouldn't by this one. I had this one side by side with a Akarua 'Rua' Central Otago Pinot Noir 2019 last night (almost twice the price per bottle) with 2 friends. All agreed, the Rua was more enjoyable to drink as it was smoother and less acidic/sharp than this Marlborough pinot noir.
