Produced from Sangiovese grapes from the Salento peninsula in southern Puglia. Traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks, with six days spent on skins. No oak ageing.

Food Pairing: Ideal with simple pasta tossed in butter and Parmesan or with tomato based sauces.

An intense wine with cherry, ripe plum fruit aromas and warm, earthy spice. The palate is densely packed with morello cherry, cassis and bramble fruit flavours. Tannins are serious and sappy in feel giving a rich structured wine that will develop for a further 12-18 months in bottle.

Produced from selected parcels of Montepulciano grapes, from low yielding 30 to 50 year old vines in the Chieti province of Abruzzo.

Food Pairing: Pasta with Bolognese sauce, beef casserole or any grilled or roasted meats.

2 x Da Vero Vino Rosso Nero d’Avola IGT Terre Siciliane 2016 (Italy)

Ripe aromas of black fruit and a hint of spice. The palate is full with rich plum and bramble fruit characters, and plump tannins.

The Nero d'Avola grapes are sourced from the area around Salemi (Province of Trapani) in the northwest tip of Sicily. The vines are Guyot-trained, and grown at around 250m altitude on a combination of soil types. The vineyards were converted to organic viticulture in 2007. The grapes are macerated on the skins for 8-12 days, then racked and allowed to complete malolactic fermentation.

Food Pairing: Rich pasta dishes, casseroles and grilled meats.

Certified Organic and Vegan.

Only opened the Da Vero Sicilian so far. Decent earthy wine for day to day winter drinking.
