Description

  • Full bodied
  • Blackcurrant
  • Wild fruits
  • Vanilla notes

Deep purple red with violet reflections in glass with intense and persistent aroma of black-currant and wild fruit scent, spicy, with balsamic and vanilla notes. A full-bodied wine, soft and balanced, long and pleasantly flavoured in the end. This is a wine that preserves its organoleptic characteristics for 5 years.

The harvest period was the first weeks of September with the grapes undergoing thermo-controlled maceration for about 10 days, followed by the alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts. Subsequently the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 6 months.

The grapes were produced in San Marzano, Salento, Puglia. The area is about 100 meters above sea level, with high average temperatures and medium-low rainfall. The soft soil layer is clayey and quite thin, with a good presence of rocks.

In San Marzano, vine growers take care of their small vineyards as if they were gardens. Their stories are numerous, as are the names of their families. They have chosen one name, Talò, to thank each and every family and pay homage to each story.

Food Pairing: Excellent with savoury first courses, all types of meat courses and mature cheese.
