The 2014 Hommage has a crisp clean nose ith aromas of kerosine and citrus from the Riesling with underlying notes of Christmas lillies, pear and stone fruits from the Muscat and Pinot Gris. On the palate, the wine has honeycomb, citrus and an array of fresh herbs finished with a clean balanced acidity. Whie there is a percieved sweetness to this wine it is fermented dry.
This boutique winery has become internationally renowned for its elegant wines which display fantatic quality and interest. Mountford Estate's stunning 10 hectare vineyard is situated on the Eastern hillside of the Waipara Valley, highly regarded for its limestone rich soil. Whilst in the winery Winemakers place strong emphasis on attention to detail and employ traditional Burgundian methods, to produce wines of distinction.
