"Beautifully fruited and elegantly expressed, the wine shows dark cherry, sweet plum, subtle spice, thyme and toasted almond characters on the nose, leading to a wonderfully rounded palate that’s juicy and supple. It’s harmonious and delightfully textured with a lengthy silky finish. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2020
Medium to dark purple with purple hues. Fragrant red fruits with strawberries, florals and a hint of coffee. A creamy red fruit entry of strawberries and currants, pretty and well balanced with powdery tannins and a long sweet fruit finish.
The fruit was hand harvested on the 21st March 2018 and was de-stemmed into an open top stainless steel tank. Fermentation carried out by select yeast until the wine was dry. The wine was aged in French Oak barriques for almost 13 months, of which 25% was new oak.
Brand new look; the same fantastic Three Miners Pinot Noir. The Warden’s Court dealt with the registration and enforcement of Miner’s Rights. Disputes often arose over claim jumping, forgeries, water races, roading and between partners of a joint claim. The old Courthouse in Alexandra is one of the town’s oldest stone buildings and was opened on the 16th of June 1879 to house The Warden’s Court.
Food Pairing: Antipasto, roast chicken and seafood.
