Very pale pink colour in the glass. A bright, berry fruit aroma with notes of fresh watermelon. Finely flavoured and refreshing, with great natural balance and a crisp, dry finish.
2019 was a stunning year for Hawke’s Bay across all varietals, including Merlot and Malbec. A relatively wet summer had vineyard managers concerned, however great weather over the Autumn harvest window kept any fruit condition problems away, and the grapes were harvested in perfect condition at optimal ripeness.
Grapes were crushed and destemmed and the juice had minimal contact with the skins in order to achieve its very pale pink colour. Only the free run juice was used for this Rosé wine; this resulted in pure, fresh and clean flavours. Clarified before fermentation and kept at cool temperatures, we retained the vibrant fruit characters that are primary in the fruit. This is an elegant wine, fresh to the nose and complex on the palate.
