Brooding red colour in the glass. This Grande Réserve is a selection of the best parcels, able to be aged in oak barrels. Its discrete woody notes combine perfectly with silky tannins while keeping elegant aromas of fruits harvested at full maturity. A charming and intense Bordeaux wine.
A delicious blend of 25% Merlot Noir, 45% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon; a classic Bordeaux blend. Sourced from 20 miles south-east of Bordeaux, in the Entre-Deux-Mers in the commune of Targon, on a siliceous clay/calcareous clay out-crop facing south/south west, with drained land. Oceanic climate.
The fruit for this wine was harvested mid-September to mid-October during a single week. Vatting took place for 15-18 days in stainless stell vats, temperature controlled. Then aged in oak barrels for 6 to 8 months.
Food Pairing: Grilled meat, soft cheeses, chocolate desserts.
