Delicate pale pink colour in the glass. This wine has a bouquet of strawberries and white flowers with hints of vanilla. It has the harmony and elegance that has earned world-wide appreciation of the Rosés of Provence. Triennes Rosé is the perfect accompaniment to a sunny Summer afternoon.
Sourced from the Domaine du Logis de Nans in the Var, east of Aix en Provence. Gentle sloping hillside with great Southern exposure. This is a cool microclimate with clay and limestone soil which is ideal for viticulture.
Harvested at night so that the grapes are cool upo arrival in the winery. Pressed after a few hours of skin contact Fermented at low temperatur until dry. Winemakers manage the vines as naturally as possible and in harmony with the environment. For instance, they grow a cover crop every second row to help control vigor, limit erosion and help to assimilate organic material.
Over the years, Triennes has been transformed froma neglected parcel in an obscure, little regarded region into one of the top wine producing estates in Southern France.
Their aim is purity in the expression of the terrior. For Rosé, the foremost consideration is the finesse of fruit and freshness of the wines. The cool microclimate which Triennes naturally enjoys, favours the acidity in the wines.
