"Does the job very nicely, and well. Blackberry, nuts, a bit of chocolate and earth. Full bodied, but not leaden, tannin churns away quietly, finish is satisfying and pretty long. I like that earthy stuff that shows it’s McLaren Vale, not just red wine from anywhere" Winefront
Redstone Shiraz is produced from three vineyards in McLaren Vale each contributing complexity to the final blend. The bright fruit character from our Blewitt Springs Vineyard, the savoury structure from the Coriole Estate vineyard and the earthy richness from our vineyard in Willunga. Redstone refers to the local ironstone so common in the soils and buildings of McLaren Vale. The style of winemaking selected for Redstone results in a softer, juicier Shiraz, with more subtle tannins than is typical from our Estate grown range. Aged in seasoned French oak for 12 months, this is a balanced and very drinkable style.
