Description
"This is splendidly fruited and lifted on the nose showing green rockmelon, crunchy apple and lemon zest characters, leading to a brightly expressed palate that is juicy and flavoursome. Varietally pure and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2021" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2019
A terrific example of classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc displaying ripe gooseberry and passionfruit, with fresh lifted notes of lemon zest and a hint of salt. Luscious and gently textured with flavours of ripe guava, citrus and blackcurrant with an elegant mineral note. The palate is intensely concentrated, rich and lively with an elegant and full bodied finish. Grapes for this wine were carefully harvested when they reached their optimum ripeness. They were pressed off their skins quickly with minimum contact so as to preserve fresh flavours.
Food Pairing: Perfectly matched with whitebait fritters or pan fried fish and fresh asparagus. At its best over the next two years but it will be hard to resist drinking this delicious drop immediately.
