Description

  • Fresh raspberry
  • Cranberry
  • Creamy stone fruit
  • Off-dry style

"Bright, fresh and delicately fragrant, the bouquet shows raspberry, cranberry, apple and lemon zest characters, followed by a vibrant palate that is light and mouth-watering. Youthful, lively and very easy to enjoy" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2019

"Off-dry Rosé with crushed raspberry, watermelon and cherry flavours. A moderately flavoursome, smooth-textured wine, with just a hint of sweetness balanced by fresh acidity. Nice purity and a lingering finish" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2019

This is a vibrant cool climate Rosé, pale pink in the glass with aromas of strawberry and melon on the nose. The palate is lively with raspberry and stone fruit flavours, subtle creaminess and a long fresh finish.

The fruit for this Mystery Rosé comes from the winemakers Estate vineyard, a raised ridge of stony soil. The free draining soils and cool dry climate are ideal for ripening the Pinot varieties.

Fruit was harvested in the fresh fruit flavour spectrum ideal for Rosé, with the majority being pressed off and cool fermented, while a smaller portion spent more time on skins for added colour. The component wines spent the winter on lees to gain complexity and mouthfeel before the blend was assembled in the spring.

Food Pairing: Excellent on its own or with crayfish, prawns and salmon.

I simply adore this wine. Great deal for the price, a Rosé that’s not just a summer drink but drinks well on colder days too. It’s definitely become a staple in my collection.
