Description
"Bright, pretty and inviting, the bouquet shows white flesh stone fruit, watermelon, lemon zest and floral characters. The palate is light and juicy with pristine fruit flavours and silky texture, wonderfully framed by refreshing acidity. A beautifully expressed rose showing charming elegance and drinkability" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2018
"Very pale pink colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is softly fresh with delicate aromas of red florals and subtle strawberry fruit notes along with some fresh fermentation esters and confectionary lift, and mouthwatering mineral hints. The aromatics form refined and elegantly concentrated core. Medium-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has delicately sweet and rich flavours of strawberries and florals with nuances of fresh fermentation esters and fruit pastilles, and hints of thirst-quenching minerals to balance the fruit sweetness. The flavours show on the front palate and flow smoothly with light, lacy acidity lending tension and energy to a light, lingering, pretty, fragrant finish. This is a delicately flavoured, gently rich medium-dry rosé with florals, strawberries, lifted esters and confectionary notes on a smooth, refreshing palate" Raymond Chan, May 2018
A lovely light salmon colour with hints of pink. The bouquet is bursting with strawberries, cherries and subtle floral notes. On the palate there are delights of strawberries and cream, finishing long, lovely & dry.
The grapes for this wine were carefully selected from the Tietjen vineyard. The clone used here is Dijon 777 and the vines are carefully managed to produce a quality table wine. With only three canes laid down for the growing season, the lower yields ensured early ripeness with intense flavours.
The juice for the Rose was syphoned from Pinot Noir and cool soaked prior to fermentation once the colour and flavour had reached the perfect intensity for this style. After slight clarification, the juice was fermented at cool temperatures to maximise red berry flavours and floral aromatics in the final wine. The use of gentle fining agents prior to filtration has ensured that the resulting wine has silken texture and is brimming with flavours and aromas.
Food Pairing: A lovely aperitif style or easily enjoyed with summer salads and seafood.
