Description
"Fabulously ripe and instantly appealing, the wine shows blackberry, dark plum, roasted beet, cocoa and cedar characters on the nose, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate that is fleshy and silky. The wine offers gorgeous fruit ripeness and roundness, brilliantly complemented by velvety texture and supple tannins. At its best: now to 2024" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2018
Deep, dark ruby with purple hues. Ripe, vibrant fleshy dark berry fruit is supported by secondary more savoury aromas of black olives, subtle dusty oak and exotic spices.
Round and full on the palate with flavours of blood plums and other dark fruits sitting comfortably alongside glimpses of classic Shiraz flavours of chocolate and mocha. These primary fruit characters are then framed by a subtle, but ever present fine soft tannin structure. The fruit holds deep in to the palate ensuring a long, seemless and moreish finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with a great range of lamb dishes, especially a Roast Lamb with Roasted Apricots.
