  • Fresh crushed berries
  • Rose petal
  • Turkish Delight
  • Refreshing dry style

This Rosé displays a mid salmon pink with a gorgeous copper rim. A nose of lifted aromatics of freshly crushed strawberries, rose petal and Turkish Delight, adding lovely layers of perfume. This is long, fresh and flavoursome. The red berry fruits immediately fill the mouth with a refreshing, dry, talcy finish of impressive length.

One of the pioneering wineries in Margaret River, Evans & Tate has a rich history of winemaking excellence reflected by the acclaims that their wines have won all over the world. With well over 50 trophies and 2,000 medals won since 1987, they craft world-class wines with distinct regional characteristics.
With state-of-the-art winemaking equipment and access to high quality fruit and oak, they craft wines that people enjoy, and lead by example with the quality of wines produced in Margaret River. The winemaking team continuously strive to craft elegant wines that exhibit distinct regional characteristics coupled with intensity of flavour.

The 2018 vintage in Margeret River was extraordinarily good and one that winemakers always hope for. The Shiraz fruit for our Strawberry Fields Rosé was sourced from two distinct Margaret River vineyards, both located in the north of the region and selected for their ability to ripen Shiraz early whilst achieving soft, ripe tannins. This is critical to making our balanced, flavoursome, vibrant style of Rosé‚ with perfumed aromatics reminiscent of walking through a field of strawberries.

The fruit was picked cold just prior to dawn and quickly pressed to minimize time on skins and subsequent tannin and colour pick up. Two press fractions were taken and then back blended pre-fermentation to achieve the desired style. A cool, long fermentation followed before it was immediately clarified post- ferment. Bottling followed just prior to Spring to capture the essential freshness and vibrancy so critical to Rosé wines.

Food Pairing: Pair with fresh fish & a pear with walnut salad, or for a late Saturday brunch!
