Light and bright in colour with only the faintest hint of gold. The nose is restrained but inviting with fresh aromas of apple, spice and citrus. The palate is medium bodied and fruit driven with a vibrant core of pear and apple flavours, more spice, an attractive textural grip and soft mineral length.

Sourced from established vineyards in the Robe district of the Limestone Coast. The maritime aspect and consistent temperatures combine to ensure the retention of natural acidity in the elegant fruit harvested.

The quality of this highly successful season was founded with excellent winter rains ensuring high soil moisture levels. Summer was warm, but not excessively hot with few heat spikes. Late ripening conditions were beautifully cool allowing for long slow development and perfect balance.

Hand harvested in the early morning to retain natural acidity and then whole bunched pressed, aiming to limit skin contact and using only free run and first press juice. Fermented in stainless steel with temperature control before maturation on lees for six months to build texture and complexity.
