Description
Ripe apple and the fuller figured pear saunter into view with lovely spice and vanilla trailing behind. They chatter in gentle, sweet tones, occasionally cutting the air with fresh, crisp laughter.
Sourced from a single vineyard in the Ohiti Valley in Hawkes Bay, the Left Field Pinot Gris is a fruity and funky example of the variety.
Harvested when the grapes were tasting delicious, the juice was coerced from the fruit, and fermented in vats. A small portion was fermented on skins with wild yeast to add some funk to the pure fruit flavours of pinot gris.
Food Pairing: Delicious on its own, Hawkes Bay Pinot Gris also loves food with a bit of spice. Imbibe on its own or devour with spicy grilled chicken.
