Calling all Pinot lovers! No collection would be complete without reds from Central Otago, renowed for their world class Pinot Noir.

1 x Kelly Washington Gibbston Central Otago Pinot Noir 2018

A wine of two temperaments. The 2018 Gibbston Pinot Noir shows the effects of a riper season, with soft tannins and a profile of warmer red fruits. Yet is still characterised by the heady perfume that encompasses earthy and herbal notes, fine tannins and bright, juicy acidity that is the hallmark of the Gibbston sub-region.

Having had the first vintage under their belt, it was wonderful to commence Vintage 2018 having had some experience with their plots and the wines that have translated. Vintage 2017 was an absolute stunner, and although did not experience an entirely difficult vintage with 2018, the team did face some challenges with very warm weather in Gibbston. It was crucial to have a great deal of vigilance and care with picking decisions, and sorting of the fruit. The fruit as harvested over a month prior to the previous harvest, and what would be typical for the sub region! Only the best bunches were picked and made it into the crates. It was paramount to retain acidity, and freshness and translate this though to the final wine.

1 x Mount Edward Central Otago Pinot Noir 2018

The 2018 Pinot Noir has a silky and lush texture with fruit power, is concentrated yet finely balanced with fine tannins throughout and long in flavour. A classic vintage for us.

Vinified using open fermenters, hand plunging, natural yeasts and 11 months in 15% new French oak. Racked, blended and settled in tank for a further 6 months. Fermentation was carried out using de-stemmed fruit including the addition of 25% whole bunches, plus several tanks of 100% wholebunch fruit fermentation.

Perfumed with lovely aromatics, there is a range of complexed fruit notes of darker berry fruit, some spice, savoury tones and dried herbs.

Organically grown, made and certified, a blend of our best vineyard parcels.

Drink now until 2035.
