Pretty, layered nose of citrus blossom, especially mandarin and orange, with ginger spice. Juicy and textural on the palate with bright, dancing acidity.
An exceptionally warm, dry spring and early summer gave unusually high early season growth. Extraordinary January heat brought the whole growing season forward culminating in harvest starting earlier than ever, on March 8th. Late summer brought record high rainfall with relatively cool daytime temperatures. These cooler temperatures kept disease pressure in check and the fruit delivered to the winery by the vineyard crew was in excellent condition.
