Description
"Lots of inviting tasty oak with aromas of cinnamon and cedar then strawberry and red cherry, some red apple skin and sweet rose. Fruity on the palate, with dusty tannins and acidity giving a lovely structure against a backdrop of light red fruit flavours. Nice, dry finish, balanced and well made. Drink now through to 2026" Cameron Douglas, World of Wine, 2019
Bright, ruby red in the glass. This delicious Pinot Noir is perfumed with floral aromatics, such as balanced spiced cherry, follwed by silky milk chocolate tannins framing a ripe cherry palate. Finishing with subtle oak spice and balanced acidity.
The fruit for this wine was harvested primarily from the Eyrie vineyard, nestled in the clay rich soils of the Waihopai Valley. A blend of three clones with elements of whole bunch berries added to the fermentation for enhanced aromatics. Hand plunged daily, before maturing in new and seasoned French oak barriques.

A very delicate and beautifully aromatic wine in a French style; not big on colour, but the flavour is exquisite and so typically Pinot as it is meant to be !!!

Good PN well balanced but a little on the lighter side from a style viewpoint
