Highly aromatic notes of ripe black and red fruits. In the mouth, it has a smooth fruity start with concentrated red fruit flavours perfectly balanced with oak notes and a nice acidity. The fresh, yet fine tannins take over at finish, where flavours of spice and liquorice dominate. A blend of Touriga Franca, Castelão, Syrah & Tinta Roriz – again, just think richly fruited, smooth as silk red.

These wines amaze me , in colour they look full bodied but are not. They need time to open up ,to breathe before they are enjoyed. As so often is the case blends outshine straight cultivars. Our wine club enjoyed them even against full bodied Tinta Roriz from the Douro

Only tried the Red Blend pleasant wine that slips down very easily looking forward to the others . Pity the Europeans do not want to leave the corks behind just 3 of 12 have the sensible screw cap.
