1 x Miopasso Nero d’Avola 2017 (Italy)
Awarded Double Gold Medal: Sakura Wine Awards 2019
RECOMMENDED: Decanter Magazine
RECOMMENDED: IWC
Ridiculously delicious. It is made using the 'Apassimento' method of production where a portion of the grapes are air-dried before fermentation and is best-known as the standard method used for producing the blockbuster Amarone wines of Veneto in northern Italy. But used here in sunny Sicily the result is an explosively fragrant, concentrated, rich and flavourful wine with fabulous length and freshness on the finish. Exciting stuff, really one of the most interesting reds we've found in ages.
"Deep, purple/red with an incredibly intense nose featuring black pepper and spices. The palate offers layers and layers of fruit with bursts of dark berry fruit, offering excellent balance and complexity, with a soft, long finish."

1 x Fortant de France Cabernet Sauvignon 'Terroir Littoral' 2017 (France)
AWARDED GOLD MEDAL: Gilbert & Gaillard 2018
This southern French beauty is bursting with red fruit aromas with plum and cherry dominate with a hint of vanilla from the oak ageing. Well balanced, rich and completely drinkable!
The grapes for the Fortant de France Cabernet Sauvignon are sourced from selected vineyards located in the coastal valleys around Sète in southern france. The coastal terroir is sunny and bountiful, offering delectable, exuberant wines with flavours of red and blue fruit. Boasting relatively young and rather fertile soils, this terroir, with the help of modern viticultural and winemaking techniques, is well-suited to bringing out all of the aromas and flavours of each grape variety as well as those produced during fermentation such as thiols, terpenes and esters.
1 x Domaine Lafage 'Tessellae' Carignan Vieilles Vignes 2014
Awared 93/100 POINTS: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Awared 92/100 POINTS: eRobertParker.com
"A beautifully composed and expressed wine made from old vines, the complex bouquet shows dark plum, dark chocolate, cedar and floral characters with nuances of game and Christmas spices. The palate is concentrated and richly fruited, yet not heavy, and offers velvety texture and sweetly rounded tannins. The wine delivers an abundance of delectable flavours, while remaining stylish and structured. At its best: now to 2019" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"A crazy value, the 2014 IGP Cotes Catalanes Tessellae Carignan Vieilles Vignes is one of the best examples of this variety from the Roussillon, and the fact that it sells for a song is just icing on the cake for the consumer. Coming all from schist soils and 70-year-old vines, raised 12 months in a mix of concrete tanks and demi-muids, it offers tons of black raspberry and black cherry fruit, licorice and dried spices to go with a super sexy, heady, seamless style on the palate that keeps you coming back to the glass. Drink this blockbuster over the coming 2-3 years" eRobertParker.com
