Description

"This good-value regional blend is freshly aromatic and full-bodied (13.5% alc/vol), with good intensity of vibrant, ripe pear, lychee and spice flavours and a dryish finish" Michael Cooper, Oct 2018

"Wonderfully fruited and succulent, this comforting pinot gris shows lifted aromas of white flesh stone fruit, fresh pear, floral and subtle spice on the nose, leading to a beautifully rounded palate that is smooth and refreshing. It is filled with attractive flavours and offers fabulous drinking. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2018

"Brilliant pale straw-yellow with some depth and lemon hues, light on the rim. The nose is fresh with a good, soft, rounded core of bright white and yellow stonefruits along with exotic florals, and nuances of honeysuckle and minerals. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has an elegant heart of white and yellow stonefruits with floral detail and delicate layers of honeysuckle and hints of minerals. The flavours are balanced and harmonious. The fruit flows along a fresh, finely-textured line with background acidity carrying the wine to an elegant finish. This is an elegant off-dry Pinot Gris with stonefruit, floral, honey and mineral flavours and a soft-textured line. Match with Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 3+ years. Marlborough fruit, 50% from the Awatere, 40% from Rapaura and 10% Southern Valleys, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 6.9 g/L RS" Raymond Chan, Aug 2018

Offers aromas of Turkish delight, fresh roses, honey suckle, and ripe stone fruit. Tropical fruit and nextarine flavours lead into rich textural complexities and a ginger bread spice. The wine finishes with a luscious and lingering acidity.

A stunning place to live and a fantastic place to make delicious wines. The Marlborough climate is not too hot, not too cold and surrouned by beautiful rivers, mountains and the pristine South Pacific Ocean. All of which offer insipiration to the winemakers to make pure, fresh wines for you to enjoy.

Life can be busy and it's important to take a few moments to relax. Summerhouse wines are made for those moments, to be enjoyed at the end of the day or the weekend. Share it with family and friends, or not!

Food Pairing: Enjoy with a selection of tapas or a Vietnamese chicken salad.
