"Bright, pale salmon-pink colour with suggestions of peach, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh with gentle, voluminous aromas of white stonefruits melded with red florals and mouthwatering minerals, unfolding subtle notes of strawberries and confectionary. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has an elegant, taut core with gently packed flavours of cherries and stonefruits, along with aromatic red florals, and an amalgam of strawberry confectionary and thirst-quenching minerals. The wine flows along a very fine-textured line with lacy acidity enlivening the mouthfeel, and the wine leads to a light, nuanced, dry finish. Serve as an aperitif and with canapés over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit with some Pinot Gris and a small amount of Riesling, predominantly from the Southern Valleys of the Wairau, fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS, the wine spending 3 months on lees" Raymond Chan, Nov 2018
