Description

"It is immediately appealing on the nose showing fresh raspberry, strawberry, stone fruit and floral characters. The palate is equally delightful, displaying pristine fruit flavours together with smooth mouthfeel and refreshing acidity. Bright and light, offering terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2018

"Bright, pale salmon-pink colour with suggestions of peach, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh with gentle, voluminous aromas of white stonefruits melded with red florals and mouthwatering minerals, unfolding subtle notes of strawberries and confectionary. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has an elegant, taut core with gently packed flavours of cherries and stonefruits, along with aromatic red florals, and an amalgam of strawberry confectionary and thirst-quenching minerals. The wine flows along a very fine-textured line with lacy acidity enlivening the mouthfeel, and the wine leads to a light, nuanced, dry finish. Serve as an aperitif and with canapés over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit with some Pinot Gris and a small amount of Riesling, predominantly from the Southern Valleys of the Wairau, fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 5 g/L RS, the wine spending 3 months on lees" Raymond Chan, Nov 2018

Deliciously dry in style, the generous palate is juicy & crunchy. Taste buds dive into raspberries, red apple & a slight suggestion of caramelised toffee apple. Finishing with refreshing minerality & mouth-watering juicy acidity.
