This delicious Hawke's Bay Syrah displays aromas of violets, black cherry with hints of spice and vanilla. The palate is rich and layered with flavours of ripe blackberries and dark plums.  An elegant structure, powdered tannin and a long complex toasty finish.

The fruit was held cold for four days prior to ferment to help extract maximum flavour and to enhance colour. It was then racked off to a mixture of stainless steel and French Oak..  It was then gently extracted, blended and prepared for bottling. Drinking beautifully now this W5 Syrah can be enjoyed young or with careful cellaring will mature over the next 5 years from vintage date.
