1 x Sensi Gold 18K Prosecco DOC (Italy)

Pale straw-yellow in colour, enhanced by a crystal clear, crisp, lingering beading that brings out the exquisitely-subtle pear, citrus, white-fleshed fruit and  white-petaled flowers overtones to the full.  Marvelously fruity, pleasantly-dry and superbly fresh  on the palate, with a perfectly-balanced texture which combines gentle acidity and a lively, creamy fizziness.

Made from100% Glera grapes grown in the gravely, fertile alluvial terrain through  which the central section of the River Piave  flows along the valleys in the  top part of the Treviso plain. The soil in this area is alluvial and therefore gravelly and rich in silt and sand. It is very fertile and has a high quantity of carbonates and other micro-elements very useful for vines. Combined with the influence the river has on the micro-climate, all of these characteristics create the perfect conditions and habitat for vines.

Food Pairing: Extremely versatile, allcourse wine, perfect in any convivial situation. Superb as aperitif, whenever raising glasses for a toast. The Spumante Brut version is especially suitable with appetizers, raw fish  starters and steamed seafood. Unforgettable when  paired to chocolate cakes and apple pies.

Seal: Screw Cap - Alc: 11%

1 x Suavia Soave Monte Carbonare DOC 2016 (Italy)

awarded 92/100 points: Robert Parker, Wine Avocate

Straw yellow colour in the glass with brilliant highlights. The bouquet if perfumed with yellow flowers, exotic fruit and white peach together with smoky and peaty notes. This wine boasts a juicy fruit palate accented with mineral, aromatic herbs and almond alongside crisp acidity, with a dry finish and is very persistent.

The winemaker always says the wine "is like a bit of earth in a glass" and it's true! The vines in the Monte Carbonare vineyard sink their roots deep down into the black volcanic soil. This gives the wine great personality: forthright and truthful, with a sharo mineral nature. It tastes of rain on flint, on the black stones of the dry walls, and of that good fragrance that the countryside releases when dampened by the first rain.

Food Pairing: Creamy risotto with truffle, or seafood and mushrooms.

1 x Agricola Punica Isola dei Nuraghi Montessu 2015 (Italy)

AWARDED 92/100 POINTS: Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

Montessu was created to bring out the sensations and aromas of jam, ripe fruit, myrtle and juniper, which are typical of the region. Ageing is done in non-agressive barrels, two or three years old, for a period of no longer than 12 months. A deep violet color, the wine shows aromas of red fruits and Mediterranean aromatic herbs. In the mouth, the wine has full-bodied black fruit flavors, with soft, saline notes along with elegant traces of caper, rosemary and black pepper. The long finish is silky.

“Montessu” is produced in the Sulcis Iglesiente region located in southwest Sardinia. This region’s brown earth is composed of sandy soil that is a mixture of clay and limestone. This combined with the local climate are ideal conditions to produce grapes to make great red wines. The Carignano grape variety found throughout the area gives Montessu its soft and elegant tannins and its high PH. The region’s exceptional vine growing conditions are also ideal for the cultivation of International varieties including Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which were planted years ago. The base production per hectare (6,000 liters/ha) and the climate conditions favor optimal phenolic maturation of the grapes. The final blend for this wine is a mix of these grapes that is balanced for the best results in the specific conditions unique to each harvest.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with roasted lamb & burratta.
