Description

"A flavoursome Riesling, with orange zest plus a hint of mango and apricot. A delicately succulent wine in a medium-dry style. Nice purity and good support from fruity acidity." Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Jan 2016

Gold tinted in the glass, this wine allows you to experience a gently off-dry, concentrated and juicy palate with classical ripe Marlborough Riesling flavours from gentle limes through to mandarin and nectarine. The weighty mouthfeel is electrified by a fine acidity which is in turn balanced perfectly with a hint of residual sweetness. Complemetned by a fragrant, perfumed nose, reminiscent ripe lemon and mandarin. Hints of beeswax, floral orange blossom and flint add layers of complexity to this Riesling.

This Mystery 2015 Riesling is made from a combination of well ripened fruit grown on our estate and from selected sites around the Wairau Valley.  Made in an off dry style, the stony, boney, ex-river bed soils impart a distinctive mineral undertone into this delicate and elegant wine.

Food pairing: Pairs perfectly with seafood or Asian-influenced cuisine and pork

If You like a off dry Riesling then this is for You. Very good value for a aged wine with plenty of life in it. It has that normal Riesling acid which will keep it fresh for years, From a very fine Producer .
