2 x Saint Roch Le Rosé 2017

Awarded Gold Medal: Paris Concours General Agricole Paris 2018

Awarded 91/100 Points: Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2017 Le Rosé from Jean-Marc Lafage comes from vines around the village of Maury and is equal parts Grenache Gris and Mourvèdre. This light pink colored effort offers terrific notes of strawberries, candied watermelon, and flowers in a fresh, clean, vibrant package. It’s balanced, has terrific acidity, and a good finish, and while it’s fresh enough to gulp on a hot summer day, it’s also going to shine on the dinner table" Jeb Dunnuck

"Run by the talented (and fast driving) Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage, from their cellar located just outside of Perpignan (which is being completely renovated), this estate includes vineyards spread throughout the Roussillon, allowing them to make the most of the diverse terroirs and micro-climates. I struggle to think of another portfolio that encompasses anywhere close to this level of value, and the average quality to price (QPR) for these wines is just hard to believe" Robert Parker's, The Wine Advocate

Light-bodied with pretty floral and strawberry aromas and flavours, Southern French Rosé at it's best!  A lovely pale dry rose guaranteed to quench your thirst any day of the week!

2 x Domaine Lafage Côté Rosé 2017

Awarded Gold Medal: Concours General Agricole Paris 2018

Awarded 90/100 Points: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2018

"I’ve raved time and time again about the quality - and value - coming from Domaine Lafage’s Jean-Marc Lafage" Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
"When it comes to quality-to-price ratios, no one does it better than proprietor Jean Marc Lafage. Located just outside of Perpignan, this estate has a wealth of old vines and vineyards to pull from, and the addition of a massive new winery is only going to give them even more control. While it’s easy to write off these value-priced releases as fruit bombs, please taste the wines! They have beautiful purity of fruit, impeccable balance and each release has their own unique character. At the prices, these are no-brainers." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

"It is delightfully expressed on the nose showing Gala apple, lemon peel, nectarine and subtle savoury notes, leading to a crisp and lively palate that is persistent and refreshing. The wine offers lovely elegance and poise. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2018

Elegant and stylish, white stone fruit, rockmelon, watermelon and citrus with a hint of savoury complexity, followed by a juicy palate that delivers delicate fruit intensity and fine texture, wonderfully framed by crisp acidity.

Take a sip of this delightful southern French rosé and let its beguiling floral aromas and delicate berry fruit transport you to France's beautiful, unspoiled south. Delightfully refreshing, this pink is full of the joys of summer all year round!

2 x Domaine Lafage 'Miraflors' Rosé 2017

Awarded 92/100: Jeb Dunnuck

'The 2017 Miraflors Rose matches the trend for pale rosés.' Robert Parker's - The Wine Advocate

"Hats off to vigneron Jean-Marc Lafage for another smoking good rosé!" - Jeb Dunnuck

"Fantastic Rosé! This organic beauty is just about as good as Rosé can get... beautiful nose with red liquorice, juicy nectarine and berry aromas. On the palate it is round, polished, silky and wonderfully balanced between fruity generosity and refreshing, minerally more-ishness. Grab some of this wine for summer while you can. It will sell out! “The 2017 Miraflors Rosé is another beauty that's loaded with fresh, crisp, vibrant strawberry and raspberry fruit. Clean, pure, textured and elegant on the palate, with gorgeous purity, it's a rocking rosé that does everything right. The blend is 70% Mourvèdre and 30% Grenache Gris brought up all in tank. Hats off to vigneron Jean-Marc Lafage for another smoking good rosé!" — 92/100, Jeb Dunnuck

This Rosé is pale pink in the glass and perfect for a summer drink. A slightly iodine nose complemented by a fresh, spicy and mineral aroma. The palate is lively attack, the fruit and spices are present in the mouth with a nice roundness on the finish.

Named after an old estate located in the heart of Domaine Lafage, Mas Miraflors, the Miraflors Rosé is sourced from old vines of Grenache Gris, nearing 80 years old, planted near the Mediterranean. Added to this is some Mourvedre that Jean-Marc planted here about 15 years ago. This a direct press rosé with the colour coming from the skins of the pink Grenache Gris berries, and naturally, from the much darker Mourvedre. It is aged in tank for 4 months before bottling.

A pleasant and nicely presented Rosé mix for the money. Plenty of fruity and floral notes but slightly on the sweet side for my palate.
