Sam Kim Wine Orbit

Description

"It is delightfully expressed on the nose showing ripe nectarine, rockmelon, orange peel and vanilla aromas, leading to a succulent palate that is beautifully rounded and creamy. The wine is fruit expressive and immediately appealing with gentle toasty notes, making it very easy to enjoy. Brilliantly priced. At its best: now to 2019. Aug 2017." - Wine Orbit

Lifted aromas of nectarine and rockmelon combine with well-integrated oak spice. Medium bodied with a soft round palate displaying ripe peach, fig and toasted hazelnut.

This wine is sourced from vineyards throughout Marlborough and harvested in the coolness of the evening to maintain fresh flavours. Some parcels of fruit were fermented in oak with a portion undergoing secondary fermentation to assist with softening the palate and adding complexity.

Perfect for drinking now or with careful cellaring will continue to develop over the next 3-4 years.

Well matched with Fettuccine with Scallops and white wine sauce or a spring vegetable risotto.
