Description

"This is fruit expressed and beautifully fragrant on the nose showing blackberry, dark plum, mushroom and toasted nut characters. The palate is rounded and supple, delivering silky mouthfeel and juicy fruit intensity. Very approachable and highly enjoyable."

IF YOU LOVE Côtes du Rhône you will LOVE this new find!
On the palate it is full, plummy and well-structured with firm tannin and warm notes of oak thanks to a four month period of barrel ageing. With a long and fresh finish, this wine is certainly easy drinking but tastes more 'serious' than the price suggests!

The winemaker is Diogo Sepulveda, who has worked in Pomerol and Napa, and at 5-Star Halliday rated Turkey Flat in the Barossa.

Get the BBQ out as this beauty get the thumbs up from us!

Casa Santos Lima (the producer of Portuga & OTHER Blackmarket Favourite OMG) is located about 40km away from Lisbon. They're a fairly big operation making wines from most regions of the country but all of them in a very regionally-sensitive way. And very modern, clean and drinkable to boot. We are really enthusiastic about these wines - for the wonderfully characterful break from the normal that they represent, but also because they are simply phenomenal value-for-money. You must try these wines.
