Description

Delicate golden straw colour in the glass. Amoras of spiced apricots with notes of orange marmalade. The palate is round and full with flavours of apricot and fig combine with a honey drizzle. The high residual sugar creates a luscious palate which is concentrated and elegant.

This Mystery wine was sourced from a small parcel of selectively hand harvested botrytised Gewürztraminer grapes, grown on a vineyard in the heart of the Marlborough Valley. The steady north-west wind flow through this unique area allows for noble rot to develop in ideal vintages. This wine is drinking beautifully now but will continue to develop gracefully with further bottle age.

Grapes were whole bunch pressed and tank fermented with selected yeast. The fermentation was arrested when the winemakers determined the residual sugars to perfectly balance the natural acidity. The finished wine was stabilised then carefully prepared for bottle

Food Pairing: A perfect match for blue cheese drizzled with honeycomb or enjoy with any soft cheese, dried fruit, or a fruit based dessert. The wine can also make a lovely alternative to serving a dessert.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Not overly strong gewurztraminer characters and just enough acid to balance the 160g/l sugar, lovely hint of botrytis - excellent value,

Saint Clair! Did they ever make a bad wine. A fantastic surprise, had guests for the weekend and we all loved it. gave them a bottle to take home to Auckland!!

Nice dessert wine - not as full on as I expected from it's 'Noble' naming, more of a 'late harvest' style. Excellent value anyway, from a top producer!

Ine of the most wonderful, delicious desert wines, the Gewurztraminer give it that lovely herby taste to cut through the sweetness. Easily our favorite desert wine now!
