Description

"This is intensely fragrant on the nose showing kiwi fruit, rockmelon, feijoa and lime zest characters. The palate is equally attractive, delivering plenty of vibrant fruit flavours and juicy mouthfeel, brilliantly supported by bright acidity. The wine is lively and immediate, and offers terrific drinking" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Feb 2018

"Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is very brisk and zesty with racy acidity highlighting the flavours of gooseberries, nettles and cut grass, with white floral lift. Some passionfruit and fresh herb detail adds interest. This is a crisp and racy, tightly bound Sauvignon Blanc with cool-spectrum gooseberry, nettle and herb flavours and a thirst-quenching palate. Serve with shellfish and seafood, and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years" Raymond Chan, Feb 2018

Soft golden colour with light green hues in the glass. This is an intensely aromatic wine, with a blend of gooseberries, tropical fruit and capsicum on the nose. A burst of concentrated gooseberry, lime and passionfruit leads to superb fruit richness and a crisp dry finish on the palate.

This wine is produced from vineyards in the Waihopai Valley and the Wairau Valley of the stunningly beautiful Marlborough region of New Zealand. The soils are ancient river beds with a mix of free draining stony soils and clay loams.

A remarkable season featuring an early warm summer followed by stints of wind and rain. This resulted in a smaller crop providing good flavour development and a lovely structure.

Food Pairing: This wine is delicious as an aperitif and with long lunches. Enjoy with steamed green lipped mussels or a green chicken curry.
