Description
Barefoot Pinot Noir is a medium-dry wine with fruity notes of rich red berry layered with hints of strawberry jam and dark cherry. A touch of molasses balances the wine for a velvety mouthfeel and hint of sweetness. This wine pairs well with lamb, grilled salmon, and creamy pasta dishes.
This classic varietal is well-known for its rich personality and taste. Harvested from select vineyards in Lodi and other areas of the Central Valley, the grapes in this Barefoot Pinot Noir have enjoyed the beautifully warm days and cool breezy nights that are characteristic of this area. The grapes for Barefoot Pinot Noir were harvested at optimum ripeness which led to easy extraction of colour and velvety tannins. The winemaker selected particularly aromatic yeast strains and employed a warm fermentation process resulting in more intense flavours and fruitier aromatics. Proper storage after fermentation has added complexity and balance to the wine.
