Most immediately striking, when tasting, are harmony and balance: even before flavour.

Description

"Perfumed pinot noir, with lifted floral and cherry aromas that continue on the palate where spice, oak, savoury and fresh herb characters are also evident. Peppery tannins help promote a drying finish" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Mar 2018

"The wine combines sweet berry notes with seductive savoury nuances, displaying spiced cherry, dark plum, truffle, smoked game and vanilla characters on the nose. The palate is succulent and plush, offering outstanding depth and complexity, wonderfully framed by loads of polished tannins" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2018

"Medium-full bodied, the palate is well-proportioned with bright, intense and vibrant fruit flavours of dark-red cherry fruit interwoven with fresh and dark herbs. Subtle notes of liquorice and raspberry liqueur add interest. The mouthfeel is poised and refreshing with lacy acidity and the fruit is supported by fine-grained tannin extraction lending an elegant core and line. The wine carries to a long, lingering finish of cherries and herbs. This is an elegant, up-front, refreshing Pinot Noir with dark-red cherry fruit along with a subtle layering of herbs, with liquorice and raspberries on a lively, fine-structured palate" Raymond Chan, Mar 2018

Most immediately striking, when tasting, are harmony and balance: even before flavour. We always aim, with Pinot Noir, for a synchronicity of deftness, or grace, and intensity; this wine captures the effect nicely. Brambles and spice at first, then dark plum and mulberry, and a deep floral note. Sustained and sapid finish.

This wine is the shiznick. Not cheap but worth every cent. It punched well above its price tag and exceeds expectation.
