Description
"A superbly-priced pinot, the inviting bouquet shows red cherry, raspberry, almond and mixed spice aromas, followed by a silky palate that is nicely fruited and elegantly weighted. It is juicy and smooth with sweet berry notes, finishing fine and lingering. At its best: now to 2020. June 2018." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit.
A round and soft Pinot Noir with flavours of ripe raspberries with a hint of wild thyme. The palate is concentrated and focused with juicy fruit intensity and finishes with a nice oak lift. Fine tannins create a silky texture and excellent mouthfeel.
Fruit was selected from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough. A proportion of it went to oak where it underwent malolactic fermentation before being blended ready for bottling.
An appealing and easy-drinking Pinot suitable for any occasion. Perfect for drinking now and will continue to develop well for 4-5 years from vintage date.
Food Pairing: A great food match with rare beef fillet.
